Nissan Rogue: How To Reset Maintenance Oil Light (2014/2015/2016)
|Last Updated on March 2, 2022 by Nick
Hello! Good morning my friend! Here we have a 2015 Nissan Rogue to show you how to perform the oil maintenance light reset procedures. As you can see, it’s showing on-screen what they need to do for the oil and filter maintenance.
You can reset this whether is the maintenance message is up or not in your Rogue. It doesn’t matter; you’ll be using the on-screen display and your keys to the left-hand side of the steering wheel. So now we’ll get started here.
Here’s How You Reset Maintenance Oil Light On 2015 Nissan Rogue
Time needed: 3 minutes
In this section, I will show you how to reset the maintenance oil light on a Nissan Rogue. This is a 2015 Rogue here, but it will be the same in several different years (2014, 2016). So all you got to do is:
- Turn on the ignition
If your car has a Smart key button, press the START button twice without stepping on any pedal
- Go to the SETTINGS menu
Then you’ll start by using the ❏ MENU key to scroll through so you get to your SETTINGS menu
- Scroll down to the MAINTENANCE
You’ll then use the up and down arrow by toggling like this to the MAINTENANCE and you’ll hit ENTER
- Get to the OIL AND FILTER
Once you get over the top of maintenance and here’s where you’ll perform your resets. You have the OIL AND FILTER first and you’ll again hit ENTER to get into
- Select RESET or set the distance
From here, you’ll toggle down and enter to RESET and then confirm it with yes. Instead of highlighting reset you can highlight the actual mileage interval. It will go before it reminds you, so you can change that to whatever your preference is for each of the maintenance items
So that’s how you reset the maintenance light, and it’s pretty simple. Now we’re good to go. So everything looks good, the maintenance light is reset, and then we’ve completely done the oil change. Thanks for your time, and have a great time.
Hi Nick, In my 2015 Nissan Rogue, the reset options are not working for Oil change or tire change under MAINTENANCE. It stays blank. Is there a fuse issue or something else? thanks
