2012-2019 Fiat 500 Service/Oil Change Light Reset Guide
|Last Updated on December 11, 2021 by Nick
Hey everybody! How’s it going? Today I got a little how-to, just a quick little oil change or service light reset guide for those Fiat 500 lovers. It’s really gonna take like a minute. So pretty easy to do.
Here my Fiat 500 went to the dealer, and because my oil change light came on, I obviously got no oil change, but what I did was I pulled out and realized that they didn’t reset the light. So now I’m going to show you how to do that here.
2012-2019 Fiat 500 Service/Oil Change Light Reset Guide
Time needed: 3 minutes
After you have done your oil change, the last thing we need to do now is reset the warning light. Thankfully fiat makes this pretty simple. So the first thing you can do is:
- Turn on the ignition
First, put the key in the ignition here and turn it on to power only. Don’t start the engine but just to accessory mode
- Fully press and release the ACCELERATOR pedal 3 times
Then I’m just going to press my Accelerator pedal three times in fairly rapid succession and what you may have noticed on the dash is that the light went out so it actually reset it
- Start the car
After that, I’m just gonna turn off the car and then I’m just gonna actually start this bad boy up completely and I think what you’ll see here is that I no longer have the little service triangle or the warning to change my oil
So that’s how you reset on this car (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 model years). So the next time when you start the car, there should be no oil change light. Any feedback put in the comment box for me, and let me know what you think about this vehicle. Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll catch you on the next one.
Worked like a charm on my 2013 Fiat. Could not have been easier! Thank you.
