Hey, what’s going on, everybody? Welcome back with another how-to content. Today we’re going to be resetting the oil service light on this VW Volkswagen Amarok. This should fall in line with any VW Volkswagen Amarok, which is from 2011 to 2020.

2011-2020 VW Volkswagen Amarok Oil Service Light Reset Guide
For your info, this operation work for the first generation of the VW Volkswagen Amarok (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 model years).
Amarok Base Display
This is a short guide on how to reset the service indicator on a 2011 Volkswagen Amarok turbo diesel but I think it’s the same for all models for the base models. So here’s how it’s done.
- First, with the ignition off and the car is not running we’re gonna hold the 0.0/SET button
- Now as we’re holding the button we’re gonna turn on the car
- The next step is to press left button or the ❏ button once and this service light will reset
Amarok Premium Display
Time needed: 3 minutes
This section will show you how to reset the oil change light on this 2017 Volkswagen Amarok. This is the model with the premium display with steering wheel controls. So the first thing you should do is:
- Start with the ignition off
Make sure you close all doors and the vehicle stops
- Hold down the 0.0/SET button as you turn on the ignition
Then I’m going to do is press and hold the 0.0/SET button on the dash while turning the ignition on without starting the engine
- Press the OK button
After you do that you can you’ll get a message to reset so now you can release the button and then press the OK button on the steering wheel and you’re done
