|Last Updated on July 28, 2022 by Nick
Hi guys, and welcome! This post let me talk about resetting the service minder light on the Peugeot Boxer after changing the engine oil. This is a Peugeot boxer, a very common van type that you’ll have seen loads of these around.
So today, we’ve got this annoying fault where you switch the ignition on and what happens as you get this change engine oil minder. It’s telling you it’s ready for an engine oil change, and it keeps flashing this up, and it will keep cycling and flashing this up, which isn’t very pleasant. So let’s try to get rid of it.

Resetting Oil Change/Service Light in Peugeot Boxer (2006-2023)
Time needed: 3 minutes
So I’ve been asking about resetting the oil change light or the service warning on the Peugeot Boxer. Hopefully, this will work, apparently. So the way to reset it is:
- Turn the ignition key to the MAR position
You must place the ignition in the ON or MAR position to perform this operation. That is one stage before cranking the engine
- Fully depress the GAS and the BRAKE PEDALS
After that, all you have to do is press and hold down the gas and brake pedals for more than 15 seconds
- Turn off the ignition
Switch the ignition off and release the pedals, and now this should have reset so that’s a good sign the engine oil light has gone
This applies to all Boxer apparently for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 model years.
Peugeot Boxer Service Schedule
When you purchase a new Peugeot Boxer, it comes with a three-year/100,000-mile warranty. The mileage limit is waived for the first two years, but it will have a lower mileage allowance. Service intervals for the Boxer are two years/32,000 miles, but you will cut that number to one year/12,500 miles if you plan to do more demanding work. Service intervals also differ for the air and fuel filters, which you should change every four years/32,000 miles.
If you are not aware of what to do, the Peugeot Boxer service schedule is a necessary document. You can use this manual for any repairs you might need to make on your car. Besides, you can also refer to it for other auto-related issues. Whether you need to replace a brake pad or replace a battery, a service schedule can help you determine the next steps to take.
You can also access a manual on the internet if you need a manual. Many people have been happy with this method for years because it offers them a wealth of information, including wiring diagrams and repair procedures. You can find a PDF file for your Peugeot Boxer service schedule in no time. Once you’ve downloaded it, you can print it out and take it to your local mechanic or even print it out and read it later.
Interim service
Depending on the mileage, Peugeot Boxers need to be serviced regularly. The mileage should be around 20,000 miles per service. Oil and filter changes are recommended every 12,000 miles, and the motors in the 2.2 and 3.0-litre Boxer models have timing chains. The mileage of these vehicles is usually unlimited for the first two years. It would be best to have the brake fluid changed every two years.
The interim service is the simplest and most basic type of service. The mechanics closely monitors the car’s performance, and this service includes brake, tyre, steering, and suspension checks and a replacement oil filter. It is recommended for drivers who cover more miles per year. It should also include brake and tyre checks and fluid changes. It’s also recommended for those who drive long distances and frequently stop.
A free warranty checks every 10,000 km
The free warranty check is available once every 10,000km, but how often is that enough? The Boxer has a five-year warranty and a 20,000km service interval, and a free roadside assistance service is also available. You can also purchase a three-year/100,000km full maintenance plan. As with all Peugeot cars, you must have a valid C1 driving license to drive them.
The Peugeot Boxer is the largest van in the Light Commercial Vehicle range and comes in two versions: Standard and Long. The Boxer’s technology makes life easier for anyone who drives it. Its five-star safety rating is a testament to its performance on the road. If your Peugeot Boxer breaks down, you won’t have to worry because the warranty covers every part of the vehicle, including the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and braking system.
So there you go, resetting the change engine oil service warning light on a Peugeot Boxer. If you have a Boxer that falls within that period, this will reset your change engine oil service warning light. So I hope that’s useful. Thank you for reading. We’ll see you at the next one.
