Easy Way To Reset Oil Change Light in Chevrolet Colorado

So there are two different ways to reset the oil life on the old Chevrolet Colorado, and this one is the fastest way to do it.

So in order to do this, you need to turn your key to the on position without firing up the engine, and once you do that, you have five seconds to completely press down the GAS pedal three times. This should reset the oil life, and the light will no longer tell me to change my oil.

Turn the key on without starting the engine up

Go to the OIL LIFE screen
Once all the in lights go out, you just want to cycle through the menu by using the TRIP button on the dash until to get to the OIL LIFE
Hold down the TRIP button
Finally, press and hold the TRIP button until you hear three beeps, and then that should reset your oil indicator
