How are things going, Jeep fam? Today I would like to show you how to perform an oil life light reset on the Jeep Liberty after oil changes. It’s fairly simple, not a big deal on this particular vehicle.

By the way, you will have to do an oil change on your vehicle every three to five thousand miles. It’s very important because if neglected, the oil will coagulate over time and eventually lose its lubrication properties which will cause the engine to cease. So let’s get right up in this.

So here we have a 2011 Jeep Liberty, and it needs to have the oil change reset. You see how it comes up on the dashboard change oil, and now I’m going to show you how to reset it. So what we’re going to do is:

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position

    First, you turn the key just to the on position. So all the lights up on the dashboard and you don’t start the vehicle

  2. Depress the GAS PEDAL slowly three times

    Then you need to step on the GAS pedal to the floor three times within 10 seconds and it should reset

  3. Verify the indicator has been reset

    If you’ve done your job correctly it should you show the mileage and it should not come up change the oil light

So that’s all there is to reset the oil life on your Jeep Liberty (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 model years). That’s the garage time with a goodie for today.
