TPMS Reset: Volvo XC90 Low Tire Pressure Sensor Light (2011-2021) – The Volvo XC90 is an SUV by the Volvo Car Corporation since 2002. The second XC90 began at the end of January 2015, taking place at the Torslanda plant near Gothenburg.

On August 27, 2014, the XC90 was presented to the public at the world premiere in Stockholm, Sweden. The XC90 could be ordered in the special edition: First Edition from September 3, 2014. 1,927 copies of this complete First Edition were built worldwide.

TPMS Reset: Volvo XC90 Low Tire Pressure Sensor Light (2011-2021)

Whenever tire pressure is adjusted or change the tire you need to reset or calibrate the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS on 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Volvo XC90:

2011-2014 Models

In this generation, you can access the TPMS menu using the turn signal lever. Here’s how to do it:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Go to the TIRE PRESSURE CALIBRATION menu by using the thumbwheel on the turn signal lever
  • Hold down the RESET button until TIRE PRESSURE CALIBRATED displayed

2015-2021 Models

Time needed: 7 minutes

In this second generation, you can access the TPMS calibration menu via the center display. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Stop the vehicle

    Turn off the engine

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

  3. Start the engine

    With depressing the brake pedal and put the key into the ignition slot, press the START/STOP ENGINE button

  4. Select the CAR STATUS app

    The button is located on the center display

  5. Select TPMS

    Tap the touchscreen to select the menu

  6. Select STORE PRESSURE or CALIBRATE

    A confirmation message will appears in the display

  7. Select OK to execute the TPMS reset

    Tap the touchscreen to select

  8. Start the engine and drive the vehicle at a speed above 20 mph until the new inflation pressure has been saved

    Done!

The TPMS calibration process will complete after 10 minutes of driving at speeds over 35 km/h (22 mph). It will finish automatically.
