TPMS Reset: Ford Kuga Low Tyre Pressure Sensor Light (2015-2021) – The Ford Kuga is Ford’s first European sports utility vehicle (SUV) based on the IosisX concept. The Ford Kuga has been on sale since the first half of 2008.

The car based on the Ford Focus / C-MAX was manufactured from the beginning of 2008 to autumn 2012 in the Ford plant in Saarlouis. The second generation appeared in spring 2013 based on the Ford Focus ’11 and, as a world car, is mainly identical to the Ford Escape.

TPMS Reset: Ford Kuga Low Tyre Pressure Sensor Light (2015-2021)

Whenever tyre pressure is adjusted, change a tire, or get it rotated you must carry out the TPMS reset procedure. Depending on the vehicle model year you have, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS on Ford Kuga:

2015-2018 Models

Time needed: 7 minutes

If your vehicle is the 2015 2016 2017 2018 model years, you can reset the TPMS via the cluster display by using the display controls on the steering wheel. Follow these steps to do it:

  1. Park your vehicle

    Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

  3. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START/STOP button once without touching the brake pedal

  4. Press ◄ navigation button to enter the cluster menu

    The button is located on the steering wheel

  5. Go to SETTINGS

    Use the navigation button to scroll

  6. Select DRIVER ASSIST

    Use the navigation button to scroll and press OK to select

  7. Scroll down and select TYRE MONITOR

    Use the navigation button to scroll

  8. Press and hold the OK button until a confirmation message appear on the screen

    Done!

2019-2021 Models

Just like its predecessor, you can reset the TPMS via the cluster display on this latest model. Here’s how to do it:

  • Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine
  • Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Go to the SETTINGS menu by using the ▲▼ navigation button
  • Press the [wp-svg-icons icon=”list-2″ wrap=”i”] menu button to display the submenu
  • Scroll down and select INFORMATION
  • Select TYRE PRESSURE
  • Select RESET
  • Press and hold the OK button until a confirmation message appear on the screen

These instructions are based on the Ford Kuga owner’s manual. This procedure should apply to the second and third generations of Ford Kuga (2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 model years).
