TPMS Reset: Citroën C3 Tyre Pressure Sensor Light (2014-2021) – The Citroën C3 is a passenger car made by Citroën. The C3 was presented in 2002 as a replacement for the Citroën Saxo. Later, the Citroën C2 (2004) would also take on this role.

The C3 is only available as a five-door hatchback; the C2 only as three-door. Within the PSA group, the C3 shares its platform with the C2, the Peugeot 1007 and the Peugeot 207.

The tyre pressure system must be initialized after an adjustment to the pressure of tyres, and after changing one or more wheels. Depending on your vehicle model year, here are a few ways to reset the tyre under-inflation detection system on 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Citroën C3:

2014-2015 Models

There are 3 ways to reset the TPMS in the second generation of Citroën C3. All three through the audio screen. Depending on your vehicle trim level, here’s how to do it:

With Monochrome Display 1

  • Stop the vehicle and adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU button at the bottom of the audio display
  • Go to the CONFIGURATION menu by using the ▲ or ▼ button

  • Press the OK button to enter the menu
  • Select the Define The Vehicle Parameters
  • Select the Tyre Pressure
  • Select the Reinitialisation
  • When a confirmation message appears, select YES to execute the TPMS reset

With Monochrome Display 2

  • Stop the vehicle and adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU button to access the main menu
  • Go to the VEH CONFIG menu by using the ▲ or ▼ button and press the OK button to enter the menu
  • Select REINIT INFLAT
  • When a confirmation message appears, select YES to execute the TPMS reset

With Audio Colour Display

  • Stop the vehicle and adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the SETUP button at the bottom of the audio display
  • Go to the Vehicle Parameters menu by using the navigation button and press the OK button to enter the menu
  • Select Driving Assistance
  • Select Initialisation of Under-Inflation
  • When a confirmation message appears, select YES to execute the TPMS reset

2016-2021 Models

In this latest generation, there are also 3 ways to reset the TPMS. Depending on your vehicle’s equipment, please choose one of the following three methods:

With TPMS Button

Time needed: 7 minutes

Follow the instructions below if your vehicle is equipped with a Tyre Pressure Set button. Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine

    Tire pressure reset process cannot be done while the vehicle is moving.

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

  3. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START/STOP button without touching the brake pedal

  4. Look for the Tyre Pressure Set button and then press it for 3 seconds

    An audible signal will confirm that the sensor has been reset

With Infotainment Display

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tyre pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the DRIVING / VEHICLE button

  • Select Yes to execute the tyre pressure reset

With Audio Display

  • Stop the vehicle and adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU button at the bottom of the audio display
  • Go to the CONFIGURATION menu by using the ⏪ or ⏩ button

  • Select the Define The Vehicle Parameters
  • Select the Comfort
  • Select the Tyre Inflation
  • Select the Reinitialisation
  • When a confirmation message appears, select YES to execute the TPMS reset
