TPMS Reset: Audi Q7 Tire Pressure Monitor System Light (2008-2021) – The Audi Q7 was presented to the public at the 2005 IAA in Frankfurt. The Q7 is based on the Pikes Peak Quattro concept car that Audi showed at the NAIAS in 2003.

The Q7 uses the PL71 platform. The vehicle has a Quattro four-wheel drive as standard and can be ordered with the modified air suspension. The Q7 is standard equipped with Audi’s Multi-Media Interface (MMI).

You have to reset the specified pressures whenever you adjust tire pressures, change a tire, or get it rotated in order for the TPMS to operate appropriately. Depending on your vehicle model year, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS on Audi Q7:

4L (2008-2015)

There are 2 ways to reset TPMS on the first generation of the Audi Q7. Both through infotainment displays but different in the menu systems. Please choose 1 of the three ways below according to your vehicle specifications.

With Infotainment Display 1

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine

  • Select CAR SYSTEM
  • Select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
  • Select STORE TIRE PRESSURE

With Infotainment Display 2

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the CAR button on the center console
  • Press the left control button to access the CAR SYSTEM menu
  • Select SERVICE & CHECKS or SERVICE & CONTROL
  • Select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
  • Select STORE TIRE PRESSURE
  • Select YES to execute the TPMS reset

4M (2016-2021)

Time needed: 7 minutes

Just like previous generations, in this second generation, you can reset the TPMS via the MMI display. Proceed as follows:

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position but do not start the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button once without touching the brake pedal.

  2. Press the MENU button on the MMI controls to access the main menu

    The button is located on the center console

  3. Go to CAR or VEHICLE menu

    Use the MMI control button to scroll and select the menu

  4. Find and select SERVICE & CHECKS

    Use the left control button to cycle the menu screen

  5. Scroll down and select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING

    A message will appears on the display

  6. Select STORE TIRE PRESSURE

    A confirmation message will appears on the screen

  7. Select YES to execute the TPMS reset

    Done!

With Touchscreen

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ignition switch to ON position but do not start the engine
  • From the Home screen, tap the VEHICLE or CAR menu on the MMI display

  • Select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
  • Select STORE TIRE PRESSURE
  • Select YES to execute the TPMS reset
