Restoring the Factory Settings of the CANON POWERSHOT SX510 HS And SX170 IS

Pocket camera threatened by sophisticated camera phones are now the better the quality. However, cameras with long zoom lenses remain in demand and can not be replaced by smartphones today. To accompany your photograph activities during the holidays, Canon released two cameras are capable of long-zoom lens is Canon PowerShot SX510 HS and Canon Powershot SX170IS.

By packing more petite body, Canon Powershot SX170 IS prosumer camera comes with a 28mm lens capable of 16x optical zoom that has been equipped with Optical Image Stabilization. This camera comes with a CCD sensor and Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor support to produce images at a maximum resolution of 16 megapixels and HD video at a resolution of 720P. To display your shots, the Canon PowerShot SX170 IS resemble a 3-inch LCD screen and has a Smart AUTO feature that can adjust 32 scene selection automatically according to your shooting conditions.

 If you want a camera with a long zoom lens, as well as stylish designs embrace a more ergonomic DSLR, the Canon PowerShot SX510 HS is the right choice. SX510 HS rely on ’24mm-720mm lens’ (30x optical zoom), 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor. In addition to offering long zoom lens capability, this camera is also equipped with a Wi-Fi connection, an increase in autofocus sector, which is claimed to be faster and Zoom Framing Assist feature is available that can automatically adjust the lens zoom range based on face detection sensor.

Factory Reset:

To restoring Canon PowerShot SX510 HS to it’s factory settings, conform to the following instructions:

  • Press [MENU] button
  • Press the right arrow once to highlight the “Tools” tab
  • Select “Reset All” and then press the [Func. Set] button
  • When the display ask you “Reset settings to default?” turn turn the dial to choose [OK] and then press the [Func. Set] button
