How To Reset Dodge Dakota Change Oil Minder Light (2009-2011) – Dodge Dakota is a mid-sized truck the Ram Trucks, a division of Chrysler since 2009. Until then, it was produced under the banner of Dodge, although this change was just a market strategy of the new parent company of Chrysler, Fiat. In the US the Dodge Dakota was produced in Dodge City, factories Warren, Michigan, between 1987 and 2011. The first Dodge Dakota pickup truck to enter the American market was produced in 1987, as restyling from Ram 50.
In 1997 came the second generation of Dakota in the United States, selling nearly 160,000 units in 1998. In 2000 it was chosen as North American Truck of the Year, in Portuguese, The Pickup American of the Year (this generation Dakotas was manufactured in Campo Largo, Paraná, between 1998 and 2001). The third generation of Dakotas reached the US market in 2005. The fourth generation of Dakotas reached the US market in 2008. Follow the instructions below to reset the Change Oil Light on your Dodge Dakota:
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the ENGINE START STOP button twice without touching the brake pedal
Make sure to depress the pedal all the way down
Repeat this procedure, if the message still illuminates when you start the engine.
