How To Reset Tire Pressure TPMS Light on Chevrolet Spark (2013-2021)
If you replacing a spare tire with a road tire containing the TPMS sensor on your Chevy Spark, the system will detect a malfunction and the low tire pressure warning light will blink. When that happens, the TPMS sensor reset process must be done. Depending on the vehicle model you have, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS.
2013-2015 Models
Time needed: 7 minutes
You’ll need TPMS Relearn Tool to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System in this Chevrolet Spark 2013 2014 2015 model years. Follow these instructions to get started:
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the Engine Start/Stop button without touching the brake pedal
- Press the MENU button repeatedly until you see OIL LIFE on the display
The button is located on the instrument cluster
- Scroll down to the “TIRE LEARN” menu
Use the ▲▼ button to cycle the menu
- Press and hold the SET/CLR button to enter the relearn mode
A confirmation message will appear on the display
- Select YES to confirm
The horn will sound twice and the TIRE LEARNING message will appear on the screen
- Activate the TPMS sensor
Start from the driver side front tire, place the TPMS Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
- Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset
- Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
The TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message will disappear
- Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

2016-2021 Models
Just like the previous model, you’ll need TPMS Relearn Tool to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System in this latest Chevy Spark 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 model year. Depending on your vehicle trim level, there are 2 ways to do this. Here’s how to do it:
Base Level Display
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
- Press the MENU button briefly until you see the REMAINING OIL LIFE on the display
- Scroll down to the “TIRE PRESSURE LEARN” menu
- Press and hold the SET/CLR button until the horn sounds twice
- Start from the driver side front tire, place the TPMS Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
- Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
- Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
- Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
Uplevel Display
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
- Press the MENU button briefly until you see the VEHICLE menu tab on the display
- Scroll down to the “TIRE PRESSURE” menu
- Press and hold the SET/CLR button until the horn sounds twice
- Start from the driver side front tire, place the TPMS Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
- Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
- Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
- Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
