How To Reset Tire Pressure Sensor TPMS Light on Chevrolet Colorado (2007-2021) – The Chevrolet Colorado is a pickup truck from the Chevrolet brand. An identical model from the GMC brand is marketed under the model name Canyon.

In South America, the model is marketed under the name of its predecessor, S-10. How To Reset Tire Pressure Sensor TPMS Light on Chevrolet Colorado (2007-2021)

If you replacing a spare tire with a road tire containing the TPMS sensor on your 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Chevy Colorado, the system will detect a malfunction and the low tire pressure warning light will blink. When that happens, the TPMS sensor reset process must be done. Depending on the vehicle model you have, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS.

2007-2010 Models

Time needed: 7 minutes

If you have 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 Colorado, you can reset the TPMS by increasing or decreasing the tire pressure without using tools. Follow these instructions to get started:

  1. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the Engine Start/Stop button without touching the brake pedal

  2. Turn the exterior lamp switch from AUTO to OFF 4 times within 3 seconds

    The horn will sound twice and the TPMS low tire warning light starts blinking indicates the TPMS matching process has started

  3. Activate the TPMS sensor

    Start from the driver side front tire, remove the valve cap, and then increasing or decreasing the tire’s air pressure until a horn chirp sounds

  4. Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire

    A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset

  5. Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire

    The TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message will disappear

  6. Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

    Done!

2011-2012 Models

In 2011 2012 Chevy Colorado the tire pressure reset process is almost the same as the previous model, but you need the TPMS Relearn Tool to do it. Follow these instructions to get started:

  • Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
  • Turn the exterior lamp switch from AUTO to OFF 4 times within 3 seconds
  • Start from the driver side front tire, place the Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
  • Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
  • Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
  • Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

2015-2021 Models

In 2015-2021 Chevy Colorado you can reset the TPMS via the menu in the driver information display and use the TPMS Relearn Tool. Depending on your vehicle trim level, there are 2 ways to reset it. Follow these steps to do it:

Base Level Display

  • Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU button briefly until you see the VEHICLE menu on the display
  • Scroll down to the “TIRE PRESSURE” menu
  • Press and hold the SET/CLR button until the horn sounds twice
  • Start from the driver side front tire, place the Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
  • Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
  • Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
  • Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

Uplevel Display

  • Press and holds the ENGINE START/STOP button for 5 seconds without touching the brake pedal
  • Press the ◄ navigation button to access the cluster applications
  • Select INFO
  • Scroll down to the TIRE PRESSURE menu
  • Press and hold the ✓ button to enter the relearn mode
  • Start from the driver side front tire, place the Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
  • Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
  • Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
  • Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
