How To Reset Oil Life/Service Light On Ford Ranger T6

For your info, this operation work for the fourth generation of the Ford Ranger T6 (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).

2011-2022 Ford Ranger (Europe & Australia)

This guide is only for the Ford Ranger T6 marketed in Europe and Australia. So let me show you how to go ahead and get this done.

First, turn the key into position number two. So the lights on the dash will come on and you’ll see your oil service lights on and without starting the engine
With a key in that position, we put our foot on the GAS and the BRAKE pedals and hold it down for 20 seconds
If you do that and watch the service light after 20 seconds the service light will start blinking instead of being on all the time
As soon as it starts blinking just take your feet off the pedals and turn the key to the off position

Alright, so if you need to reset the oil life reminder on your Ford Ranger T6 American model, you’re going to need to use this dial pad on your steering wheel, and you’re going to look at the dash screen. So let’s get into it now.

Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
First, you’re gonna insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the second position. This will power the accessories in the instrument cluster
Go to the main menu
Once everything lights up, you’re gonna scroll all the way to the left until you’re at the main menu
Get to the SETTINGS
You’ll then scroll all the way down until you get to SETTINGS and hit OK by using the thumb pad
Select the VEHICLE
Next, you’re going to hit OK for the VEHICLE
Find the OIL LIFE
After that, scroll down to OIL LIFE and then simply hit OK
Hold down the OK button
To reset it you need to push and hold the OK button until it says reset successfully
