Hello everybody! This is a short content, and it’s how to reset your oil life or service light on the Ford Ranger T6, which runs from 2012 to date. So it’s quite a simple process.
If your oil service lights come on, but like me, your service it more regularly, you end up out of sync with the oil service light. It comes on about every 20,000 miles. So all you need to do to reset it yourself is you don’t need to go to a Ford dealer. So let’s go ahead and get started.

For your info, this operation work for the fourth generation of the Ford Ranger T6 (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).
This guide is only for the Ford Ranger T6 marketed in Europe and Australia. So let me show you how to go ahead and get this done.
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, so if you need to reset the oil life reminder on your Ford Ranger T6 American model, you’re going to need to use this dial pad on your steering wheel, and you’re going to look at the dash screen. So let’s get into it now.
First, you’re gonna insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the second position. This will power the accessories in the instrument cluster
Once everything lights up, you’re gonna scroll all the way to the left until you’re at the main menu
You’ll then scroll all the way down until you get to SETTINGS and hit OK by using the thumb pad
Next, you’re going to hit OK for the VEHICLE
After that, scroll down to OIL LIFE and then simply hit OK
To reset it you need to push and hold the OK button until it says reset successfully
So that’s all you have to do. I hope that saves you a bit of money to go to the dealers to do it. Please see our other post for all sorts of cars and motorcycle stuff. So thanks for your time, and have a good day.
