Time needed: 3 minutes

This section will show you how to reset the service light on Audi TT MK1. Looking at the instrument cluster, the two buttons we care about today are the CLOCK button on the left and the TRIP button on the right. So let’s get it going.

  1. Hold down the TRIP button while the ignition off

To reset the service message we need to have the ignition off and hold down the TRIP button

  2. Turn on the ignition

Now we need to turn on the ignition with the button held down and you should now see the word SERVICE appear on the LCD screen

  3. Press and hold the CLOCK button

Then with the word service illuminated on-screen release the TRIP button and press and hold the CLOCK button instead and keep holding the button until the service interval appears and then disappears

  4. Start the car

Once it does, release the button and turn the ignition off. To test the message is cleared simply turn the ignition back on and you should no longer see the service warning light

  • Start with the ignition on the second position without the engine on
  • Then we pull out the RIGHT button and release it to get the Service interval screen
