Reset Procedure: Roland BK-5 Backing Keyboard

Roland is a Japanese manufacturer who produces electronic musical instruments, equipment & softwares. Roland was introduced the BK-5 Backing Keyboard in 2012. While the BK-5 appears to be a simple-looking keyboard, it’s actually an arranger, recorder, and backing keyboards in one that’s packed with a huge collection of rhythms, sounds, and Musical Assistants. It’s designeed to combine multiple backing features into one keyboard.

Roland’s BK-5 is a very easy-to-use arranger/recorder keyboard that’s loaded with a big selection of sounds. The BK-5 offers over 1,100 presets and dozens of drum and percussion kits. The instrument is able to handle 128 voices simultaneously, and is compatible with a variety of voicing formats, including GM2, GS, and XG Lite. It also has onboard controls for creative manipulation over your sounds, along with USB and Video compatibility for turning your performances into a multimedia show.

Factory Reset:

To restoring a Roland BK-5 to it’s factory reset, first press the MENU button, select the “Factory Reset” entry by rotate the CURSOR/VALUE dial and then press the ENTER/SELECT button. When a message appears on the display, select “YES”, then press the ENTER/SELECT button to start the Factory Reset operation. The Factory Reset procedure is complete.

Warning! This procedure will return all of the settings to the values when the Roland BK-5 was shipped from the factory. Be sure that you want to do this.
