How To Reset Oil Life Light On Honda Crosstour (2010-2015)

Hey guys! Welcome to another episode. Here in projects DIY today, we’re going to do an oil life light reset on a Honda Crosstour. This process is very straightforward. You can do this at your home without any tool.

By the way, I just changed the engine oil myself. I’m not comfortable with the dealership because they use oil that I don’t like. So we go ahead and change it ourselves. Sure, I can take it somewhere else, but you know I’m just going to do it myself anyway. So let’s jump right into that.

Time needed: 3 minutes

Alright, I’ve got a 2010 Honda Crosstour, and we’re going to set the oil life up to 100%. If you have 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, or 2015 models, it will be a similar procedure. So let’s go inside and reset the oil life.

  1. Turn on the ignition

First,  you turn the car on all the way if you want or you can turn the key on either way sign

  2. Go to the OIL LIFE screen

Then press the Select/Reset knob until you get to the oil life percentage

  3. Press and hold the knob

Now press it and hold it for about 10 seconds until it begins to flash and then you can start the next step

  4. Release and hold it again

Once it’s flashing you’ll take your finger off and press it in words again and this time hold it for about five seconds and it’ll go to 100%

So there you have it—pretty easy job. Again, there are a few quirks probably expected working on a Honda but simply a great job to do. If you’ve never worked on cars before, just make sure you double-check your work before you call it done. Thank you so much for coming to my site and having a wonderful day.
