2013-2022 Renault Captur Oil Change/Service Light Reset Guide

Howdy, partner! So good to see you. Today I’m going to show you guys how to reset the oil change or service light on a Renault Captur. On this particular model, there are two types of services that you can reset. One is the service interval indicator, and the other one is the engine oil change indicator.
So you’re probably wondering, well, why should you do this yourself anyway. Well, sometimes the dealer forgets to reset this warning light, so this warning comes earlier. You can use this guide to reset it in that case. So let’s get right to work.

Renault Captur Oil Change/Service Light Reset Guide
For your info, this guide will be valid for the first and second generations of the Renault Captur (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).
2013-2019 Renault Captur
Time needed: 3 minutes
In this section, I will show you how to reset the service light on a Renault Captur. You’re going to need these two toggle buttons on the end of the stalk, the up and down control. So what do you want to do is:
- First, get in and turn the ignition on
With your leg don’t step on any pedal just press the START button
- Get the SERVICE INTERVAL screen
Then press up on the toggle button and go through the screen until you find the one that says Service Intervals
- Press and hold the top button
Now press and hold the top button and it’ll go through and tell you when it’s to your service in
- Display SERVICE IN or OIL CHANGE
At this point, you can change the reset option by hitting the button once. You can choose the Service or Oil Change
- Hold down the top button
If you press and hold the top button again, at this point it’ll start flashing and you want to whip them till it changes to the new interval
2020-2022 Renault Captur
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- Then use the ▲or ▼controls on the steering wheel until displayed SERVICE INTERVAL
- After that, press the OK button a few seconds to get in and the Oil Change interval is displayed
- At this point, you can change it to Service interval by using the ▼ button
- In order to reset it, you need to hold down the OK button until it flashing and the counter reset
