Quick Oil Life Reset Guide On Acura ILX (2013-2022)

How’s it going, guys? Today we’re working on an Acura ILX, and we’re going to show you how to reset the oil life. This one got about 6,000 miles or so, a pretty new car.
I definitely don’t take this car for the dealership, they may charge you to do this, and it’s straightforward. So let’s go ahead, dive straight into this process, and get the car back on the road.
Here’s How You Reset Oil Life On Acura ILX
Time needed: 3 minutes
In this section, I will show you how to do your own oil reset on the 2013 and up Acura ILX. We will be using the buttons on the lower of the steering wheel for ▲ up and ▼ down, and then the select/reset. So let’s go and do that together.
- Turn on the ignition
First, press the START button twice until you see that the car is on but the engine is not running
- Go to CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS or VEHICLE SETTINGS menu
There’s an up and down arrow, so press either down or up it doesn’t matter so scroll and keep scrolling ▼down or ▲ up until you see VEHICLE SETTINGS
- Press the SELECT/RESET button
Then you want to press the SELECT/RESET button and it will bring you to this Customize Group
- Scroll and select MAINTENANCE INFO
Now you want to up or down again until you see MAINTENANCE INFO and press the SELECT/RESET button again
- Highlight RESET
At this point, it’ll say Cancel right now so you want to press up or down again and it will show RESET
- Press the SELECT/RESET button
Once it shows RESET you press the SELECT/RESET button one more time and reset completed
So that’s all there is to reset the oil life on your Acura ILX (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).
