What’s a cracking, hot thing? We have this beautiful 2011 Honda Insight hybrid this time, and it’s time for regular maintenance. However, we’ll show you how to reset the oil life or service light in this Honda Insight in this post.

I think Honda’s they don’t get any better than this. They’re great cars, and they’re so easy to maintain with oil changes and maintenance upkeep. They’re so simple compared to other manufacturers. So let’s go ahead and roll up into the post.

Here’s How To Reset Oil Life/Service Light On Honda Insight (2010-2014)

With Steering Button

Time needed: 3 minutes

Alright, this will be resetting the oil maintenance light for a 2010 Honda Insight, but if you have 2011, 2012, 2013, or 2014, it’s going to be a similar procedure. So now all you need to do is:

  1. Turn on the ignition

    First, turn the key on and you can be running or not running it doesn’t matter just go to the on position wherever the dash is lit up

  2. Get the OIL LIFE appears on the display

    Then we’re gonna be using these two buttons right here and you want to scroll using the SEL/RESET button until we get to that OIL LIFE

  3. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button

    Now go ahead and hold that same SEL/RESET button and keep holding it till the Reset screen pops up

  4. Select RESET

    To reset this we’re going to push the ▲ arrow up and we’re gonna go ahead and hit the SEL/RESET button again this time you want to hold on to it and the oil life will be reset to a hundred percent

With Dash Knob

  • First, you want to have turned the ignition on 
  • Then scroll through with the TRIP button on the dash till you see the OIL LIFE

  • Next, press the TRIP button and keep holding it a little while to enter the reset mode
  • When the reset message pop up, you just turn the TRIP knob to highlight the RESET option and then tap the button and now we’re back to a hundred percent
