Reset Canon EOS 70D to its Default Settings – Since its emergence in the world of DSLR cameras, Canon became the undisputed leader in CMOS image sensor technology. Almost all EOS models newcomers there is always an increase in resolution and high ISO range, and when the EOS 7D was released in late 2009, Canon has grown from 3 megapixels to 18 megapixels, and from ISO 1600 to ISO 12800, in just nine years. But since then the APS-C camera Canon has put all variants of the same basic sensor design.

How to Reset Canon EOS 70D to its Default Settings:

To restoring Canon EOS 70D Digital SLR Camera to it’s factory settings, conform to the following instructions:

  • Press the MENU button
  • Scroll the dial to select the SETUP 4 tab
  • Scroll down the dial to highlight the “Clear all camera settings” and press SET button

  • When the display ask you, select OK and press SET button

  • I don't have that opption. At the setup4 tab I have only Sensor cleaning and Battery info. That is all. So how can I do a reset?

  • Hello, thnx for explanation, but note one thing is missing - also reply 2 Ravit : first set the button selector to P(program - so: NOT automatic)... Then follow instructions above! Good luck!
