The Yamaha CS1x is a sample-based synthesizer released by the Yamaha Corporation in 1996. It’s first Analog Emulation performance keyboard for electronic and dance musicians (the CS line is back!). The CS1x uses the Yamaha Sample and Synthesis technology, as well as General MIDI and XG voices from the MU-50 module. All controls and parameters are real-time and MIDI controllable. As well as a superb set of quality synth bass, pads, voices, leads and arpeggiated sequences there are plenty of amazing drum sounds also with analog sound and control.
According to several user reviews, they have praised a Yamaha CS1x for the Stunning value for money; Great looks; MIDI-clockable arpeggiator; Real-time sound tweaking; Three effects processors; Imaginative and appropriate presets; PC/Mac computer interface. Also, some users have complained it for the Arpeggiator doesn’t transmit notes over MIDI; GM/XG side and effects only really editable over MIDI; Keyboard lacks aftertouch.
To restoring your YAMAHA CS1x to it’s factory settings, just simply power on while simultaneously holding the 7, 8, and 9 keys on the numeric keypad.
Warning! This procedure will replace all of your existing data. Before you perform this operation, check whether there is any data you want to keep. This procedure also applies to the CS2x unit. Hopefully the article of “Reset a YAMAHA CS1x Control Synthesizer” can help you.
