Reset a Yamaha Arius YDP142 Digital Piano

The Arius (YDP) series digital pianos are Yamaha’s static ‘furniture-style’ range. They’re digital pianos that combine great quality piano sounds with a decent touch. Essentially, the Yamaha Arius YDP142 is one of a series of mid-range static digital pianos that are considered as furniture style range, lending a classic piano look to your home’s interior. The YDP142 has the biggest upgrade over the other models in that the previous YDP141 had only 64-note polyphony piano memory chip and the new YDP142 has 128-note polyphony along with 10 nice, but basic instrument sounds including harpsichord, strings, organ, etc, instead of the six sounds on the previous model.

Factory Reset:

To restoring Yamaha Arius YDP142 to it’s factory settings, just simply power ON while simultaneously holding the C7 (the highest) key on the keyboard until the [REC] and [PLAY] lamps are flashing.

Warning! When you execute this procedure, all data (with the exception of the Songs) will be reset to the factory default settings.
