2020-2022 Opel Vauxhall Corsa Spanner/Service Light Reset Guide

Last Updated on November 27, 2021 by Nick

Hey, what’s up! This is a short piece of content about resetting the service or spanner light on an Opel/Vauxhall Corsa. This is 2021 with the turbo version, but they’re all the same anyway.

The first thing to note is that this is the oil life, not the oil level. Even at zero percent, the engine may be at its maximum level of oil. So don’t top up your oil based on this number for oil level; you should use the traditional dipstick method for that. But now, I’ll take you along and show you how to reset it.

Time needed: 3 minutes

In this section, I want to do a quick tutorial on how to reset your oil life in a 2020 Corsa F. But if you have a 2021 or 2022 model, it will be a similar procedure. So here’s the way to reset it.

  1. Turn off the ignition

The service warning light is done with the engine off, insert the key into the ignition slot

  2. Press and hold the SET/CLR button and then turn on the ignition

While holding the SET/CLR button down, turn the key to the second notch

  3. Keep holding the button

The countdown will appear on the dashboard. So keep holding the button until the count ends and you are done

  4. Start the engine

Now you can start the car to verify the indicator has been reset

So that’s it, that’s your job complete. I hope you enjoyed that content. If you get stuck, drop any questions in the comments below, and I’ll help you out. If you like these posts about the truck and different things about this car, give me a shout and ask me, we’d if you know any other content you’d like to see, and I’ll get back to you.
