Hello Sunshine! So today is finally the day we’ve done the first oil change on the Acura RDX. It’s interesting because we’ve almost owned this car for an entire year before having to do an oil change. And now, I will show you how to reset the oil life or maintenance light in the Acura RDX.
As of today, the service light has a code A1, which stands for an oil change and tire rotation. So now it’s time to reset the system, and let’s see what that looks like.

Here we have a 2016 Acura RDX, and I’ll show you how to reset the maintenance warning. We’ll be using the on-screen display here in the center of the dash, along with the buttons on the right-hand side of the steering wheel. So let’s get right up in this.
With the foot off the brake push the START button twice to get the dash all lit up
Then you’ll press either ▲i/▼ up or down while viewing the on-screen display until you get all the way down to the VEHICLE SETTINGS or CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS
Once you’re in that menu you’ll scroll up or down again until you get to the MAINTENANCE INFO and select it
After that, you’ll toggle up or down to get to RESET and click on it to confirm
There are two ways you can do it. The first way is to use the info button on the steering wheel. The second way is to go to the multimedia display screen in the center and use a touchpad on the center console to move around. So let’s get into it now
For your info, this operation work for the second and third generations of the Acura RDX (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 model years). For the older ones, you can reach it here.
