2020-2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class Service Minder Reset (GLS580) – The Mercedes-Benz X 167 is a sport utility vehicle from the German automobile manufacturer Daimler AG. The model was unveiled to the public at the New York International Auto Show in April 2019.
The X 167 is the third generation of the GLS and GL and is technically closely related to the GLE (V 167). The X 167 is built in the U.S. Mercedes-Benz plant in Tuscaloosa. Mercedes-AMG presented the GLS 63 at the LA Auto Show on November 20, 2019. A day later, a variant of Mercedes-Maybach was presented at the Guangzhou Auto Show with the GLS 600.
2020-2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class Service Minder Reset (GLS580)
Time needed: 7 minutes
When maintenance service is due, the Service due minder will appear on the display. The service interval must be reset after performed the maintenance service on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Service Minder light on your Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class:
- Turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button twice without touching the brake pedal.
- Go to TRIP menu by swipe the Left Touch Control
The button is located on the steering wheel
- Make sure the TRIP and TOTAL DISTANCE millage are displayed in the multi-function display.
Scroll down by using the Left Touch Control to display the menu
- Press and hold the HOME/ BACK button for a second

- While holding the HOME/ BACK button press and hold the Left Touch Control button
Remember! Don’t press the buttons simultaneously, the timing is very decisive at this step!
- After several seconds the VEHICLE DATA menu should come up
If you do it right, the VEHICLE DATA menu will appear on the screen
- Scroll down to ASSYST PLUS menu
Press the Left Touch Control button to enter the menu
- Scroll down to FULL SERVICE
Press the Left Touch Control button to enter the menu
- Select CONFIRM SERVICE
You can skip this step if it’s not in your vehicle
- Select appropriate OIL GRADE being used
Press the Left Touch Control button to select
- When a confirmation message appears, select YES to confirm it
