2009-2016 Lincoln MKS TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor Light Reset Guide – The Lincoln MKS was an upper-middle-class car from Ford’s Lincoln division, mainly for the North American market. The first generation Lincoln MKS was the successor to the Lincoln Town Car in the private segment.
In 2012 Lincoln MKS received a facelift with a refreshing exterior and interior. The Lincoln MKS was replaced in 2016 by a reintroduction of the Lincoln Continental.
2009-2016 Lincoln MKS TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor Light Reset Guide
Time needed: 7 minutes
Whenever tire pressure is adjusted, change a tire, or get it rotated you must carry out the TPMS reset procedure. You’ll need TPMS Relearn Tool to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System on the Lincoln MKS. Follow these steps to do it:
- Park your vehicle
Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine
- Press and release the BRAKE pedal
Ensure fully pressed!
- Without starting the engine, turn the ignition key from OFF to the ON position 3 times with the ending in the ON position
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START/STOP button once to turn ON the ignition and then press the button again to turn OFF the ignition. Do this 3 times with the ending in the ON position
- Press and release the BRAKE pedal
Ensure fully pressed!
- Turn OFF the ignition
Do not release the key!
- Turn the ignition key from OFF to the ON position 3 times with the ending in the ON position
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START/STOP button once to turn ON the ignition and then press the button again to turn OFF the ignition. Do this 3 times with the ending in the ON position
- You will hear a horn if you do it right
The horn will sound twice and the TRAIN LEFT FRONT TIRE message will appear on the screen
- Start from the driver side front tire, use the TPMS Relearn tool to reset the tpms sensor
Place the relearn tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
- Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
A chirp horn will confirm that the sensor has been reset
- Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
The TIRE LEARNING message will disappear
- Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
