Initialize the Roland R-1000 to Factory Preset

Last Updated on June 20, 2022 by Nick

RSS’ R-1000 is an intuitive stand alone, dedicated recorder/player designed to work with the V-Mixing System in any live event or production. It is based on REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) and eliminates the bulk and noise susceptibility typically associated with analog snakes and replaces it with Cat5e/6 (Ethernet/LAN) cable.

It can also be used in a MADI environment if you have an S-MADI Bridge—more on that in a moment. If you are familiar with REAC, you know it’s a 40-channel protocol. The R-1000 can record and play back up to 48 channels. That means that capturing a stellar recording from your Roland V-Mix system with the R-1000 is so simple that it’s practically an afterthought – just connect one REAC cable from the V-Mixer to the R-1000 digital recorder and you’re ready to record!

Factory Reset:

To restoring the factory reset in Roland R-1000, just simply press the [MENU] button, select [SYSTEM] and then [INITIALIZE]. When a message appears, touch “Initialize” to start initialization of the program. The Factory Reset procedure is complete.

Warning! This operation returns all settings you’ve made in the menus to their factory-set condition. Be sure that you want to do this. Hopefully the article of “Initialize the Roland R-1000 to Factory Preset” can help you.
