How To Reset Cadillac DeVille Oil Change Minder Oil Life Light 2000-2005 – The Cadillac DeVille is a large-size sedan manufactured by Cadillac, General Motors group. The name DeVille was used in several Cadillac luxury models. In 1996 Cadillac stopped producing the model similar to the DeVille Fleetwood making it the main model of the Cadillac lineage. The name DeVille was replaced by DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan) for the new model of the year 2006.

Although the name Sedan DeVille comes from the French (which means city car in Portuguese) the vehicle that bears the name is typical American style with dimensions over five meters long, almost two meters wide and with the average weight of almost two tons.

How To Reset Cadillac DeVille Oil Change Minder Oil Life Light 2000-2005

Time needed: 7 minutes

When the remaining oil life is low, the Change Engine Oil Soon message will appear on the display. The Oil Life display must be reset after each oil change. Follow the instructions below to reset the engine oil life system on your Cadillac DeVille:

Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position
Don’t start the engine!
Press the INFO button repeatedly until you see Remaining Oil Life on the display
The button is located on the center console
Press the INFO RESET button for several seconds
Press and hold the INFO RESET button until the Oil Life display changes to 100 percent
Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset
Done!
