Hello folks! Today, I just got a short content showing you how to reset the oil service and the inspection light on this VW Volkswagen Caddy. It’s a reasonably short reset on these, but it is done in two parts. You have the oil service reset separately to the inspection.
Now on this model, at the minute, we’ve only got the inspection flagging up, but I’ll run through the showing you how to do the reset for both. So let’s go ahead now and try it for ourselves.

- Go ahead and press the 0.0/SET button and then you turn the car on without starting the engine. So obviously you do not have your foot on the brake
- After that, you can let go of the 0.0/SET button and you can come around to the ❏ button on the left side and press it once
With Premium Display

- Then hold the 0.0/SET button on the right-hand side and then turn on the ignition
- As soon as it does it’ll ask you to reset the inspection service and all you do is press OK
- Now you can turn off the hazard light and you’re ready to go
Good job, guys! So simple as that, of course, the savings may only be in the short term. Without a set of dealer stamps in the service book, cars like this can be worth up to 15% less, but that’s not going to put me off because doing your own service is so rewarding. Anyway, thanks for your time and see you next time.
