How To Reset Oil Life/Oil Change Light On Ford Flex (2009-2012)

What’s up, everybody! I hope you have a great day, folks. Today’s project is going to reset the oil life or oil change light in the Ford Flex. It should be a fairly simple process. So let’s get it going.
So we got an engine oil change soon light on this Ford Flex. I just changed the oil, so we’re going to try to reset the oil life. I think I know how to do it, but I didn’t know if anybody else knew how. I’m sure you can see it on the manual, but we’re going to try it here.
How To Reset Oil Life/Oil Change Light On Ford Flex (2009-2012)
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, we’re in a Ford Flex. This particular one is 2009, and I’m going to show you how to reset the oil life when it’s time for your oil change. We will be using the buttons on the instrument panel that says info, setup, and reset. So here we go.
- Get in the car and turn it on
Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position
- Get the OIL LIFE HOLD RESET = NEW screen
Then we’re going to be focusing on the SETUP button right now and we’re going to hit it a few times until it brings us to Oil Life Hold Reset For New
- Press and hold the RESET button
Once you get there, hold down RESET which is the third button and it’s that simple it takes it right to hundred percent
- Start the car
Once you are done with that, now you can turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset
