How To Reset Oil Life Light On Buick Rendezvous (2002-2007)

Good day folks! Today’s helpful how-to post will be pretty well a simple content on how to reset your oil life light on the Buick Rendezvous and it’s basically resetting all on the GM’s car. It’s pretty simple and pretty straightforward but maybe there’s something different on that year maybe something I need to know well that’s for you guys.
For this particular one, you got two ways to reset the oil life. First with hit the gas pedal or you can also utilize the mode and set buttons on the instrument panel. I always like to use the buttons cause I find it a bit more amusing. So let’s go ahead and get started.

How To Reset Oil Life Light On Buick Rendezvous (2002-2007)
For your info, this operation work for the first generations of the Buick Rendezvous (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 model years).
With DIC Button
Time needed: 3 minutes
This time we have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous and I am gonna be doing an oil reset on it and you’ll be able to see how I to do it. So the first thing you’re gonna have to do is:
- Turn on the ignition
Turn the key forward without starting it
- Go to the Oil Life screen
Then I’m going to press the MODE button until it gives me to the menu that says Oil Life
- Hold down the SET button
Once you get there, I simply hold down the SET button at this time and it’ll go back to a hundred per cent
With Gas Pedal
- First, turn the key to the on position not to start it but just to the on position
- Then what you need to do is hit the gas pedal three times all the way to the floor so that will reset the oil life
- After that, you can shut it off and then turn it back on and confirm that the light is gone

I did this but it didn’t work should I repeat doing it or what because I went to see if there was something wrong with the car but there isn’t help?
My 2005 Rendezvous change oil light came on twice this morning. I had the oil changed about 2000 miles back and my tag says to change it in another 1000, I checked the oil level and it’s okay. Do I need to worry about it?
