How To Reset Buick Lucerne Oil Life Light Oil Change Minder (2006-2011) – The Buick Lucerne is a sedan with the front-wheel-drive of the American car manufacturer Buick from General Motors, which was offered from early 2005 until mid-2011. It was in those years, the top model of Buick and as such successor of the Buick Park Avenue. The Lucerne possessed as the base V6 engine 3800 from 3.8 L of displacement (hence the name “3800”). It was instead the optional Cadillac V8 4.6 L. The Lucerne was also available with active suspension system Magnetic Ride Control, already used on the Corvette.
All models General Motors that had installed the Buick V6 3.8 L were the first cars SULEV (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicles namely, that harmful ultra-low emission vehicles). The engine was mounted on the front and the drive was at the front. Transmissions available were two, both four-speed automatic. One was the 4T65-E, which was mounted when the model had installed the V6 engine, while the other was the 4T80-E, which was instead mounted in combination with the V8 engine.
How To Reset Buick Lucerne Oil Life Light Oil Change Minder (2006-2011)
Time needed: 7 minutes
When the remaining oil life is low, the Change Engine Oil Soon message will appear on the display. The Oil Life display must be reset after each oil change. Follow the instructions below to reset the engine oil life system on your Buick Lucerne:
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position
Don’t start the engine!
- Press the VEHICLE INFORMATION button repeatedly until you see Remaining Oil Life on the display
The button is located on the left side of the instrument cluster
- Press the ✓ button for several seconds
Press and hold the ✓ button until the Oil Life display changes to 100 percent
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset
