How To Reset BMW 6-Series Oil Service Light 650i 630i E63 (2003-2010) – The BMW E63 was a coupe of the BMW 6 Series. It is based on the platform of the E60 from the 5 Series and was presented at the IAA Frankfurt set to succeed in the mid-1999 8-coupe E31 in the late summer of 2003. The term “6” was from the set in the spring 1989 series E24. All variants of the E63 were available from spring 2004 under the internal name E64 as a convertible.

In August 2003, the production of the revived series of 6 began. The engines and the technical components were taken from the renewed in June 2003 5 series. At the launch, only the Coupé was available as a 645Ci with 4.4 liters and 245 kW (333 hp). From April 2004, BMW offered for the first time officially a 6 Series Cabriolet.

When maintenance service is due, the Service minder will appear on the display. The service minder information display must be reset after performed the maintenance service on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Service Minder light on your BMW 6-Series:

  1. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button twice without touching the brake pedal.

  2. Press and hold the RESET MILES button until you see a Service Item on the display

    The button is located on the instrument cluster

  3. Press the TRIP button briefly to scroll the service minders that you want to reset

    This mode allows you to reset the Engine Oil, Brake Pad or Brake Fluid

  4. Press and hold the RESET MILES button until RESET? appears on the display

    Keep press the button until Reset mode is appears

  5. Release the button and then hold it again to confirm the reset

    Done!
