Hey friends! This is a very quick guide on resetting or adjusting the oil service light on our 2010 Nissan Navara D40 turbo diesel. I suspect it’s probably the same for all the D40.
My son discovered something in my wife’s Nissan Navara that I’d like to share with you. It’s a service reminder. I was unaware that this was even part of this package, and I don’t think the dealer was aware of it either. So I’m gonna demonstrate it.
How To Reset Oil Service Light On Nissan Navara D40 (2005-2014)
Time needed: 3 minutes
So after the oil change, what you want to do is you want to reset the next service counter on the dash. So without wasting any more time, let’s go ahead and get right to it.
- Turn on the ignition
First, put in the key and turn it into the on position without starting
- Press and hold the TRIP button
Then hold down the TRIP button and then you’ll see that the spanner starts flashing
- Adjust the service interval
At this point, we just hit the button to adjust the service interval up you know I think you can go all the way to forty thousand maximum or you could turn it all the way down to zero but that would disable it
- Release the button
Once you are done with that, you can leave them and then you push it or just turn it off
So that’s how you reset on this car (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 model years). When you turn the key on, it will show you a countdown that I’ve got ten thousand cases to go until my service issue. If it were overdue, it would have a negative in front of it for how far past the service interval. Thanks for stopping by, and have a nice day.
