Hey folks! Today I have a Chrysler Pacifica minivan, and currently, the warning came on; it says we need an oil change. We’ve changed the oil, and now it’s time to reset the oil light in this Chrysler Pacifica. This is my first time doing it, too, so let’s go through it together.
I usually take it to the dealership to have the oil change simply because they do their inspection, I guess, for the warranty and everything. But obviously, with the pandemic and everything stopped that this year. I believe the dealerships are open, but I decided to do it myself. So now we’ll get started here.

For your info, there are some ways to reset and it depends on your vehicle model years (2008, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).
Alright, here we are inside the 2008 Pacifica and I will show you how to reset the oil light. It’s really easy you know, you just hit the GAS pedal three times within 10 seconds after being in ignition on with the engine off and it should be reset by itself.
There are two different ways we can possibly reset the oil life message on this model years. You can do either or just use the gas pedal or you could have gone to the cluster menu to do it. So let’s go through the first way.
Time needed: 3 minutes
Okay, we’re in the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. We will show you how to reset this oil life through the cluster menu. So the first thing you’re going to have to do is:
First, you want to make sure it’s on the RUN mode without the car running by hitting the START button two times
Then you’re going to move to this side of the steering wheel and you’re going to be pushing either up or down and what you’re going to be doing is scrolling through the menu to get to the section where it shows the VEHICLE INFO
Now here it shows you the oil life but if you don’t see it you can scroll left or right to have it on the vehicle information showing OIL LIFE
To reset it you just gonna hold the OK button down for a few seconds till it changes to 100% and you’re done
If these two methods do not solve your problem, try this method.
Alright, guys, that about does it for this content. So pretty simple. If you have any questions, please let me know. If you could take a second to like and share, it helps us out, and I’d appreciate it. Thanks for your time, and have a blessed day.
