How To Reset Mercedes-Benz G-Class Service Minder Light (2019-2020) – After almost forty years, the CEO of Daimler AG, Dieter Zetsche, together with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Michigan Theater, presented a completely newly developed G-Class at the North American International Auto Show in January 2018. Although the extensive changes compared to its predecessor, the new G-Class retains the series designation W 463.
Compared to the previous model, the width of the new G-Class grew by 121 millimeters, because the concept from 1979 was no longer up-to-date in this regard. Also, the new G-Class is 53 millimeters longer and now has 6 millimeters more ground clearance.
How To Reset Mercedes-Benz G-Class Service Minder Light (2019-2020)

When maintenance service is due, the Service due minder will appear on the display. The service interval must be reset after performed the maintenance service on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Service Minder light on your Mercedes-Benz G-Class:
- Turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button twice without touching the brake pedal.
- Go to TRIP menu by using the Left Touch Control
The button is located on the steering wheel
- Make sure the TRIP and TOTAL DISTANCE millage are displayed in the multi-function display.
Scroll down by using the Left Touch Control to display the menu
- Press and hold the HOME or BACK button for a second
The button is located on the steering wheel
- While holding the HOME or BACK button press and hold the Left Touch Control button
Remember! Don’t press the buttons simultaneously, the timing is very decisive at this step!
- After several seconds the VEHICLE DATA menu should come up
If you do it right, the VEHICLE DATA menu will appear on the screen
- Scroll down to ASSYST PLUS menu
Press the Left Touch Control button to enter the menu
- Scroll down to FULL SERVICE
Press the Left Touch Control button to enter the menu
- Select CONFIRM SERVICE
You can skip this step if it’s not in your vehicle
- Select appropriate OIL GRADE being used
Press the Left Touch Control button to select
- When a confirmation message appears, select YES to confirm it
