Howdy-doody! Tell me what’s new! Today I’m going to show how to correctly reset the oil service light in a Holden Commodore VZ/VE. It’s a pretty straightforward job. Only takes a couple of steps, and you can do it by yourself at home with no tools.

If you’re not comfortable doing this at home, please go to your mechanic. It costs about the same for them to do it as you to buy the oil, plus they’ll do an inspection typically and show you everything wrong that you need to spend money on. So let’s get into it now.

  4. Hold down the SET button

Then what you wanna do is hold down the SET button and it would just flash out and you’re done

  • As you hold it, turn the ignition on without starting up the engine
  • Once it does, you’ll see a Service Reset? on the dash and you can let go of the TRIP key
  • After that, you hold down the scroll key for 3 seconds you will hear a beep and it’s all done
  • Now you can turn off the ignition and then start the car to confirm that the warning light was gone

So that’s how the oil service reset is done on this vehicle. So next time we turn the key, the service warning will be gone. I hope this was helpful. Leave a like and comment down below if you’ve got any questions. Anyway, thanks for reading, and I’ll be out with another post later on.
