How To Reset Oil Life/Oil Change Light On Buick Enclave (2018-2022)

I know it’s probably one of the most missed things when everybody changes out the engine oil for the most part, but we’re going to be doing it. It’s a pretty simple job that anybody can do themselves. So let me show you how you can do it yourself at home.

Here’s How You Reset Oil Life/Oil Change Light On Buick Enclave
It’s worth noting that the method you use will be determined by the year and type of your Buick Enclave (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).
2018-2021 Buick Enclave
With Base Level Display
- To begin, you have to start the car
- The main menu may be accessed by pressing the ◄ left arrow
- Next, you wanna highlight INFO and use the ✓ checkmark to select it
- After that, you’re gonna use the down keys to scroll through the options and find the OIL LIFE
- When you have your oil life showing on the screen, you’re gonna hold down the ✓check and once you hear that beep it’s gonna reset your oil life to 100%
With Up Level Display
Time needed: 3 minutes
Here we have a 2021 Buick Enclave, and I’ll be showing you how to reset the oil life monitor. We’ll be using the on-screen display here, along with the keys to the right-hand side of the steering wheel. So let’s get right into it.
- Turn on your car
First, turn the vehicle on and you’ll wait for the vehicle to start up and you’ll notice that we have the change engine oil soon indicator that popped up
- Clear any message
Then you’re going to press this ✓ checkmark in the middle just to get rid of the message
- Go to the i menu
Next, what you’re going to do is use this directional pad and you’re gonna point to the right or left to see these different menu options and you’ll find the i for information menu
- Find the OIL LIFE
In this menu, you’re going to press down until you get to OIL LIFE
- Hit the ✓ checkmark button
Once you get to oil life, you’ll press that ✓ checkmark and it’s going to say are you sure you want to reset?
- Select YES
At this point, you’re going to choose YES and then in just a second it goes back up to 100
2022-2023 Buick Enclave
- As soon as you switch on the ignition, you’ll see an indication that says “Change Engine Oil Soon” you’ll just hit the scroll button to dismiss the notification
- Next, you’ll use the directional pad to navigate through the many menu selections, and you’ll reach the i for information menu by pointing to the right or left
- You’ll scroll down to access the OIL LIFE menu
- In order to reset your oil life, hit the scroll button in the center, and it will ask whether it is
- If you choose YES at this moment, the value will return to 100 in a split second
