How To Reset Boss GT-1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal – Boss has been known for decades for its colourful collection of separate effect pedals. At the heart of the GT-1000’s sound processing are two modelling preamps called AIRD (Augmented Impulse Response Dynamics), which should lead to improved response behaviour of the amp models.
A large number of effects are available for the effect chain, which you can freely place anywhere. Just like the two outputs Sub and Main and both effect returns, to which you can connect external effect devices. Operation is much more comfortable with a USB-connected PC or Mac and the software Tonecentral, which you can download for free at Boss.

There are several reasons you need to reset your Boss GT-1000 to factory settings, such as when you want to sell it or when a system error. Here’s how the settings stored in the unit can be restored to their default values.
Make sure the unit is in on position
The main menu will appear on the display, you can cycle the additional menu by using the ◄ ► navigation button
Press the 1 to 6 knobs to select the menu
On this menu, you can choose to reset the System, Stompbox, or Pedalboard
Press the 6 knob to perform the factory reset.
