How to Reset a Roland TM-2 Trigger Module

Since the 1970s, drummers have been combining electronic percussion elements with their acoustic kits, and thanks to Roland, it’s never been easier. At the 2014 NAMM Show, Roland is introducing their Hybrid Drum System, based on the TM-2 Trigger Module. This is a lightweight and portable unit for adding electronic sounds to an acoustic setup. The system is designed to let you augment a traditional drum kit with electronic percussion, but lets you load your own sounds – so you can use drums as sample playback controllers, too

The TM-2 Trigger Module offers two trigger inputs support a variety of Roland pads and triggers, while the professional onboard sounds and multi-effects extend the capabilities of your drum kit. It is battery powered, comes loaded with over 100 sounds and can be loaded with WAV sounds via SD card. By combining the TM-2 with products such as Roland’s BT-1 Bar Trigger Pad, KT-10 Kick Trigger Pedal, or RT-series acoustic drum triggers, you can create a hybrid drum kit that blends acoustic and electronic elements together.

Factory Reset:

To restoring the factory settings your Roland TM-2, first hold down the SHIFT button and press the INST button. Select “FACTORY RESET” by use the [<] [>] buttons and press the [+] button to enter. When a confirmation screen appears, press the [+] button. A confirmation screen will appear once again, press the TRIG IN [2] button to execute the factory reset.
