How To Factory Reset Your Roland MC-101 Groovebox – The MC-101 is the entry-level model in Roland’s new generation of groove boxes and is exceptionally compact. At approx. 22 x 23 x 6 cm, the small Groovebox is just half the size of the MC-707 and a fair bit smaller than the Novation Circuit. Weighing over 700 grams (including batteries!), The MC-101 weighs only a third of its big brother.
The small groove box is convincing in terms of quality and feel. The number of tracks was halved compared to the MC-707. Each of the four channels can be used for drums (with or without a downstream compressor), synthesizers/instruments or audio looper with time stretching. Each track records up to 16 clips (drum grooves, synthesizer phrases, audio loops) with up to 128 steps, polyphonically with a total of up to 128 voices.

When the system error, the Roland MC-101 will need to be reset. Follow the instructions below to reset the system without restoring the contents of the SD card on your Roland MC-101 Groovebox:
- Turn on the unit
Make sure the unit is in on position
- Press and hold the SHIFT button and then press the FILTER button
The UTILITY menu will appear on the display
- Go to FACTORY RESET by using the VALUE knob
Press the knob to select
- When a confirmation message appears, select ok to confirm
