Casio Exilim EX-ZR700 is created by pinning a 16.1 Megapixels sensor with BSI CMOS sensor type that has a size of 6.17 x 4.55 mm. Also equipped with the EXILIM Engine HS 3 processor technology, which is capable of taking images at high speed and quality, and also able to do a start-up with high speed by just 0.26 seconds, paired with a good autofocus performance. Points and shoot camera is the highest when compared with its predecessor compact camera, and has similarities with the type of the Casio Exilim EX-ZR400 in terms of shooting speed.

In addition, Casio ZR700 camera has the ability to image magnification up to 18x optical zoom with a focal range from 25 mm up to 450 mm or almost equal to 35 mm, which is capable of taking images of objects from different angles covering objects on the landscape screen. This camera also equipped with a feature function of lens-shift image stabilization that reduces blur when shooting using the telephoto zoom range.
