Hey everyone! It’s a rainy day — perfect timing — because today, I’m working on the 2012 to 2021 Ford Focus to show you where the windshield wiper fuse and relay are hiding. If your wipers have suddenly stopped, don’t panic — it might be a simple fix! So let’s dive right in.
Table of Contents
In the Ford Focus MK3, there are two fuses and one relay involved in the front and rear wiper systems. All of them are located inside the engine bay fuse box.
This little guy controls the wiper operation. It kicks on when you turn your key to the “ON” position.
👉 Tip: If your wipers aren’t working, try tapping the relay lightly. Still not working? Swap it with another known good relay, like the reverse light relay.
👉 Tip: You can easily pop the fuse out for inspection, or peek through the side to check if it’s blown. If needed, gently wiggle and pull it out.
For the Ford Focus MK4, the setup is a little different but still easy to find.
The engine bay fuse box is located between the battery and the side wing/fender. (If you need help opening it, check out this video.)
👉 Pro Tip: To check if a fuse is blown, inspect the thin metal strip inside — if it’s broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. Always replace it with the same type and amperage! Using the wrong fuse can lead to electrical problems.
And that’s it! I hope your Ford Focus wipers are back in action. 🚗💨 Got questions, troubleshooting tips, or success stories? Drop them in the comments — I’d love to hear from you! Thanks for hanging out — stay dry out there!
