Easy Way To Find Ford Explorer Keypad Entry Code (2011-2020) – The Ford Explorer is a large SUV which is manufactured by Ford since 1990. The Ford Explorer has developed into one of the most popular SUVs on the roads. Until 2010 it was a traditional body-on-frame midsize SUV. For the 2011 model year, Ford used the Explorer to use a more modern unit tray, full-size crossover SNV platform, the same Volvo-derived platform used for the Ford Flex and Ford Taurus.
It fits in between the traditional full-size Ford Expedition and the medium-sized CUV Ford Edge. Although similar in appearance, the fifth generation Explorer, Ford Edge, and Ford Escape do not share their platforms. Explorer was also used as a name on a finishing package that was presented on the Ford F range of lorries from 1968 to 1986. The 2011 Ford Explorer was named the North American “Truck of the Year”.
