2006-2011 Cadillac DTS TPMS Tire Pressure System Light Reset Guide – The Cadillac DTS (stand for DeVille Touring Sedan) is a long luxury sedan from Cadillac. This car is the successor to the Cadillac DeVille.
The DTS has been manufactured since 2006 at the General Motors Detroit / Hamtramck Assembly plant near Detroit. Two engines are available for the DTS, the 275 hp base V8 and the 292 hp Northstar V8.

2006-2011 Cadillac DTS TPMS Tire Pressure System Light Reset Guide
If you replacing a spare tire with a road tire containing the TPMS sensor on your Cadillac DTS, the system will detect a malfunction and the low tire pressure warning light will blink. When that happens, the TPMS sensor reset process must be done. Depending on the vehicle model you have, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS.
2006-2010 Models
If you have 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 Cadillac DTS, you can reset the TPMS by increasing or decreasing the tire pressure without a tool. Depending on your vehicle trim level, there are 2 ways to do a reset:
With RKE Button
Time needed: 7 minutes
You can access Tire Pressure Learning mode by pressing the button on the RKE. Follow these instructions to get started:
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the Engine Start/Stop button without touching the brake pedal
- Press the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter’s LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for five seconds
The horn will sound twice and the TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message will appear indicating the TPMS matching process has started
- Activate the TPMS sensor
Start from the driver side front tire, remove the valve cap, and then increasing or decreasing the tire’s air pressure until a horn chirp sounds
- Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset
- Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
The TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message will disappear
- Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

With DIC Button
If your vehicle does not have RKE, you can access Tire Pressure Learning mode via DIC. Here’s how to do it:
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
- Press the VEHICLE INFORMATION button repeatedly until you see the RELEARN TIRE POSITIONS message on the display
- Press and hold the ✓ button to enter the relearn mode
- Start from the driver side front tire, remove the valve cap, and then increasing or decreasing the tire’s air pressure until a horn chirp sounds
- A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset
- Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
- Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
- Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
2011 Model
Unlike the previous model year, you’ll need TPMS Relearn Tool to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System in this 2011 model years. Follow these steps to do it:
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
- Press the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter’s LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously until the horn sounds twice
- Start from the driver side front tire, place the TPMS Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
- A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset
- Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
- Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
- Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
