2020-2021 Buick Encore GX Oil Change Minder Oil Life Light Reset – The Buick Encore GX is an SUV made by General Motors and built-in 2019. When the remaining oil life is low, the Change Engine Oil Soon message will appear on the display. The Oil Life display must be reset after each oil change. Follow the instructions below to reset the engine oil life system on your Buick Encore GX:
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press and holds the Engine Start/Stop button for seven seconds without touching the brake pedal
- Go to VEHICLE or INFO menu by pressing the ◄ or ► navigation button on the steering wheel

- Scroll down and find the REMAINING OIL LIFE menu
Use the ▼ navigation button to scroll down
- Press the Thumbwheel button for several seconds. The oil life display will change to 100 percent
On some models, a confirmation message will appear on the display, select YES to confirm
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Method 2:
Follow the instructions below if your vehicle has different displays which can be accessed by using the DIC buttons on the turn signal lever:
- Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.
- Go to VEHICLE or INFO tab by pressing the SELECT button repeatedly
- Scroll down and find the REMAINING OIL LIFE
- Finally, hold down the ✓ button (located on the end of the turn signal lever) until the “Oil Life” display changes to 100 percent.
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
