There are two ways to reset the oil life on this model (sDrive35i, xDrive50i, xDrive30d, xDrive40d). Both via iDrive but with different menus. Choose one of the following two methods according to your vehicle specifications:

With iDrive 1

  1. Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  2. Start the engine but don’t drive your car
  3. Press the MENU button on the center console to enter the main menu
  4. Open the i menu by pressing the dial button

  2. Select VEHICLE/ TIRES
  3. Select FTM tab menu
  4. Select RESET
  5. Select YES when a confirmation message appears
  6. Drive the car

With iDrive 2

Time needed: 7 minutes

In the old generation of the BMW X6, you can reset tire pressure via iDrive. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Stop the vehicle

    Turn off the engine and shift to neutral position or P position

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

Just like the previous generation, you can access the tire pressure menu to reset the TPM via iDrive on the xDrive40i, xDrive30d, M50i version. Here’s how to do it:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the HOME button to enter the main menu
  • Go to the CAR by using the iDrive controller

  • Start the engine but don’t drive your car
  • Select PERFORM RESET to start the initialization
  • Drive the car

The TPMS calibration process will complete during driving. It will finish automatically.
